　　Glass rotameter is mainly used in chemical industry, petroleum, light industry, medicine, chemical fertilizer, chemical fiber, food, dye, environmental protection and scientific research, etc., to measure the flow of single-phase non-pulsating (liquid or gas) fluid. Corrosion-resistant glass rotameter is mainly used to detect the flow of corrosive liquid and gas medium, such as strong acid and alkali, oxidant, strong oxidizing acid, organic solvent and other corrosive gas or liquid medium. The main measuring elements of the glass rotor flowmeter are a vertically installed conical glass tube with a lower part and a larger part and a float that can move up and down inside.

　　1.測量的對象。即測量介質的類型、壓力和化學性質。如液體介質和氣體介質，腐蝕性介質應選用耐腐蝕流量計。

　　2.流量計本身的性能。一般來說，以上條件確定后，如果價格沒有大的變化，可以優先選擇放在流量計上部的針閥；如果有大流量孔，直接標定；結構簡單；較小的外部尺寸等等。如果是小流量范圍，可以選擇球浮式，因為它穩定，不易積塵，精度高，互換性好。

　　3.根據價格選擇。一般來說精度高的價格高。應根據測量目的選擇儀器的精度等級。如果只需要控制測量介質的通過量，試運行調整后需要一直穩定通過量，那么精度是次要的。

　　4.當流體自下而上流過錐形管時，流體的動能產生的升力S和流體的浮力A使浮子上升。當升力S和浮力A之和等于浮子本身的重力G時，浮子處于平衡狀態，穩定在一定高度，錐管上的刻度表示流體的流量值。
