　　用石磨磨齒是一項非常復雜的技術。其合理、自然、科學的設計特點必須通過手工調制，其角度、大小、壓蓋都是所有現代工具無法替代的。上磨盤鉆有孔，便于帶下盤移動工作臺，并固定在一個框架上。而且下扇中間有一根短立軸，是鐵制的，上扇中間有一根對應的，叫“磨”。腔室外圍有磨齒，上磨片上有磨眼。磨東西時，顆粒通過磨眼流入腔室，均勻分布在四周，被磨成粉末，從縫隙流到研磨臺上。
